   BOB DEE with

  PETRO

Hello Bob Dee with Petro and welcome to Rocknation. Congrats to your band on the release
of your album “Killstar” on AMG/SONY Records. How does it feel once again to have a
major label release on AMG/SONY Records?
Hi Tom great talking with you… We are so happy that we got to make another album.. Our last al-
bum “Pretty Things” kicked ass with an awesome video.. hit single, UK tour and our song Socially
Awkward played in the TV reality series “Bondi Ink” I am thankful to Mark Berry at AMG for
taking the band on again. When he heard our new single “Fight” I believe that song sealed the deal
       to make another album.
You enlisted veteran producer Lou Giordano (Goo Goo Dolls, Plain White T’s) for the
“Killstar” release. How was it like working with him in the studio?
Well this is an awesome story.. I went to a party at his house and we just hit it off ..what a great guy..
down to earth… really knows how to make a song sound amazing We had Lou mix our two singles
“Fight” and “Breakdown”. When he sent me the mix of our single “Fight’ Wow even the label called
me and said the new album sounds amazing. Andy Baldwin mixed all the other songs on the album
including Wild Horses .. we also had Alex Saltz master the new album.. he mastered the last Stryper
album. After we handed in the full album the first time ..It all got crazy when the label loved our
version of the Rolling Stones classic “Wild Horses” and they wanted it on the album so we had to add
the song then remix and remaster the album and change the artwork.. it all worked out in the end.
You just released the video for “Fight” and some special guest working on this, please tell us
       about that video.
We filmed the video in a diner in Long Island, NY We had a full cast of characters with returning stars Photo by Brian Rademacher
from our last video Larry Lombardi actor and Michael Maenza on drums. When you see me play in
the video, I had to keep a straight face while all of the actors were yelling in my face and Larry kept
shoving the mop in my face trying to make me laugh, another crazy shoot, we also had a secret weapon model Bryanna. In the video she wore my Bob
Dee face logo t-shirt..The fans loved her look with my t-shirt on we sold out of that t-shirt in one day ..every time.. I get a new batch in, it sells out. Thank
       you Bryanna!
Please tell us about your touring band members.
For all our fans… My New York band is Drummer Scott Campbell and TJ Jordan on lead guitar and introducing our new bass player Vlad Poplavski
we now have a rock solid rhythm section.. When I tour the UK I have Ade Fisher on guitar Norm Appleby on bass and Paul AT Kinson on drums.
Looks like you just had a killer show in New York at The Gramercy Theatre presented by Live Nation, how was that show?
Wow what a show my phone has not stopped ringing.. so much love and support.. We had an awesome night all our fans came out to support ..man
just seeing my name up on the Marquee made me so happy a lot of hard work to get there.
If you had to tell someone what your music sounded like, what bands would you mention?
I hear this all the time Tom that my music has an ’80’s vibe with a modern rock sound .. I believe it comes from my influences growing up like Cheap Trick
and Kiss my guitar is tuned down two whole steps to a “C” My guitar is setup with real heavy strings 13 -56 thank you to Rosa Daza at DR strings she
rocks! for making custom set for me. I also have an endorsement with Voodoo Amps Wow amazing sound don’t need any pedals .. Thank you to Trace
Davis I used my Marshall/Voodoo amp on the recordings.. Trace put a mid-drive mod in my Marshall head, it sounds amazing on the new record.

Please tell us about the last UK tour you did last year?
I love playing the UK. We had a blast.. the highlight was support for Guitar Legend Chris Holmes ex WASP guitarist the great thing was.. he shouted out
who is the guy from New York City??? He loved that we were the only two Americans there. at the venue. he loved us and he even helped my guitarist
Ade Fisher hook up his gear.. man that guy plays on ten.. like real men do and our London show was one for the history
books we played during the heatwave the crowd was on fire rushing the stage
jumping on the tables and was surreal .. I kept yelling
in the mic “Tear the place down”!! The owner came up
to me after the show and said “wow mate I have never
seen anything like it” We rocked.
What plans do you have for 2018-19?
We filmed the Gramercy Show we will release the live
concert also a live radio interview there are several UK
magazine interviews and reviews coming out in the next
few months and a photobook We will play a few more
NYC shows to end an awesome year! I have been on
cloud 9 it just keeps getting better and better I have sold
more merch t-shirts and CD’s and guitar picks then ever.
Thank you for taking time for this interview. Any last
       words to the fans?
Thank you Tom for taking the time to interview me!! I
have to say that to all my fans around the world thank
you for all the love and support Sending Love and Light.
