What bands are your influences?
Since my youngest age, I’ve always been a huge music collector. Like
in my own releases, I’m torn apart 2 styles, the “Westcoast” one of the
80’s and the AOR / Melodic Rock one of the same period. My influences
range from The Eagles, Toto, Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, Bobby
Caldwell, Pages etc… to harder bands such as Survivor, Giant, Bad
English, Franke & The Knockouts, Night Ranger, Whitesnake, Journey,
Kansas etc.. and also artists like AC/DC , Kiss, Ted Nugent, Blue Öyster
Cult, Black Sabbath, Van Halen and so many others that I would need at
least 10 pages ha! ha!
Are you currently writing for your next release? Any idea when it will
be released?
Yes I’m writing and recording songs for my new album, that I want to be
the best of them all (and that’s a challenge). With many problems such as
Covid, and some singers being on tour for months, I’ve been delayed in my
work so I hope the new CD can be released before summer. But of course
I depend on the availability of all these great singers (usually I have at least 8
different ones in my albums) so the task gets complicated with time.
Thank you Frédéric for taking time for this interview and last words to the fans?
Thank you for your interesting questions, and I hope people will check out my releases on the Perris Records
website. Fans of good music from the 80’s won’t be disappointed, so if you like Foreigner, Survivor or
Journey, you know what to listen next! Thank you.
