WHAT ARE YOUR AMBITIONS WITH LIVERPOOL?
Of course, The Premier League and The Champions League are of course the two big trophies that players want to win - but I want to win every trophy at the club.
YOU WERE ONE OF THE EARLY DEALS OF THE TRANSFER WINDOW. HOW MUCH DID IT HELP LIVERPOOL AND BRIGHTON GETTING THE DEAL DONE QUICKLY?
It was good for both clubs - but also good for me as well. It meant I was there for the first day of pre- season and had a chance to settle and get to know my teammates.
YOU HAVE SPENT OVER 3 SEASONS IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE - WILL THAT MAKE THE TRANSITION TO LIVERPOOL EASIER?
I think so yes - my first season at Brighton was not easy because of the language and culture change. It is a huge club and I will need time to adjust - but yes my Premier League experience will help.
AS YOU SAY LIVERPOOL ARE A HUGE CLUB - ONE OF THE BIGGEST IN THE WORLD. HOW DIFFERENT DOES IT FEEL BEING AT A CLUB THIS SIZE?
You know Liverpool is one of the biggest clubs in Europe - but it is only once I arrived that I realized just how big. It has just made me so excited to get started and help this club build on its proud history.
THE LIVERPOOL FANS ARE FAMOUS THROUGHOUT THE EUROPE. HOW EXCITED ARE YOU TO PLAN IN FRONT OF THEM?
I have played at Anfield before I know about the fans - and I can’t wait to play in front of them as a Liverpool player. I played for Boca Juniors and they supported the fans for the whole games which is how they do it at Liverpool as well.
HOW HAS IT BEEN WORKING UNDER JURGEN KLOPP?
We all know that he is one of the best managers in the world - but what really struck me is how much the players all respect him and how they want
to play for him. I am sure he will help make me a better player and I want to repay him for the faith he showed in me by bringing me to this club.
JAVIER MASCHERANO WAS A FELLOW ARGENTINIAN MIDFIELD PLAYER WHO WAS LOVED BY THE LIVERPOOL FANS. WILL YOU BE LOOKING TO EMULATE HIM?
He was such a big character and I loved watching him for the national team. We are not similar players in the way we play - but I know Liverpool fans like tenacity So we I don’t have the ball I will try to be defensively like he was.
