Do you have an idea in your head of
what you want to create or does the
sneaker guide your design as you
deconstruct them?
Yes, it can be said that, depending on the models,
there is a formula to make them. This method or
formula has been achieved through repetition of
the process. Each mask provides small technical
improvements that help me for the next one. When
I see a pair of sneakers for the first time I can
imagine the mask in 360* in my head, but it
doesn't work with all of them. It's something I love
doing in sneaker stores, imagining what the
masks of each model I see
would be like. But it is true
that no two masks are the
same, each model is different
and gives you very different
results. The level of
complexity depends on the
materials and shape of the
shoe.
