Beyond the
Classroom
Student Clubs
Clubs at Divine Savior Academy are student-led and student-driven, so offerings vary from year to year depending on student interest and the unique needs of each incoming class of students. Through club participation, students learn to organize and lead, as well as bond over shared interests and experiences. Past clubs include Model United Nations, Archery Club, Red Cross Club, Ambassador Program, Math Club, Community Service Club, Business Club, Music Club, and Drama Club.
Network 58
Network 58 is Divine Savior Academy’s high school student-led media group. Through daily classwork, students practice real-world journalism skills
in the areas of photography, design, writing, editing, and publishing.
Their work is regularly showcased in the following media formats:
• The Golden Legacy is DSA’s flagship publication, a printed feature magazine published quarterly.
Championship Chess
• Shark News Network produces monthly video news updates,
showcasing current events
on campus.
• Chroma is a literary magazine,
published annually in the spring, filled with artwork and written compositions.
• The annual yearbook highlights student life at DSA through visual and literary storytelling.
Network 58 also gives students the opportunity to promote their work online via social media on Instagram (@network58online).
Whether students choose to take chess as an elective course or as an after-school activity, they are exposed to skills training, strategic planning, and tournament play under the tutelage of a chess grand master.
