Lesson Plan
Lesson Topic: The Adjective. Module: 1 / Duration: 45 minutes.
Lesson objectives (from the State Syllabus): Use a growing variety adjectives and regular and irregular comparative and superlative
adjectives; use a variety of compound adjectives;
Learning Outcomes: Use all forms of comparative and superlatives of adjectives; put a range of different adjectives into the correct
sequence.

5 Warm-up/Intro: We are fun, fantastic friends!
Assign each group or a person a letter (don`t use difficult letters such as X or Q). They have to find two adjectives and
a noun with that starting letter to describe themselves. When everybody is ready, each group introduces themselves in
front of the class.
Example: “We are amazing, active animals.”
“We are cool, cheerful classmates.”
“We are beautiful, bouncy balloons.”
15 m Test Teach Test.

Step 2. Teach, based on the mistakes students have made, do an input, crarify the rules of the target language, extend
and develop the language area.

degree, formation of adjectives with the help of suffixes, irregular adjectives ;

sheets This sentence editing activity is designed to help increase students` writing vocabulary by exposing them to high
quality words and giving them an opportunity to see how some words can make a sentence more impressive. Students
will love choosing a synonym from the table to replace the underlined words with.
10 m Application Activities: “Categorize it.”
In this rewarding game, students race to categorize adjectives and then make a sentence with them. In teams, students
race to categorize the adjectives of opinion, size, age, shape, colour, origin, material and purpose in the box on the
worksheet and write them under the appropriate heading.
5 m Wrap-up: Clear or cloudy is another quick and fun way to determine if students need help understanding certain
concepts. They write down the points that they understand and write down the questions that they have about things
that are still ‘cloudy’.
