Marquis de Goulaine – Sauvignon blanc
Origin : Touraine
: Vinified in our pressing room in Touraine. The grapes
are picked in a rigorous plot selection and pressed directly. The must is
racked thoroughly and is then put to ferment at ultra-low temperature
(14ºC).
Nose : Expressive with floral notes as well as notes of exotic fruit and
citrus fruit and a hint of vegetal elements.
: Fresh, fruity and slightly vegetal on the attack, quite round
on the palate with a good balance. A really pleasant and
thirst-quenching wine.
Marquis de Goulaine - Chardonnay
Origin : Loire Valley
: Direct pressing, fermentation at low temperature
with maximum protection against oxidation.
: Expressive, with floral notes, slightly buttered toast
turning to exotic notes
: Fresh attack, round mouth, soft, fairly wide. Good overall
balance, with a fruity finish.
Marquis de Goulaine- Merlot
: The grapes are harvested at perfect maturity,
destemmed, crushed and fermented for for 6 to 12 days. The
fermentation temperature is regulated so as not to go above 32°C.
The wine is then quickly racked, filtered and bottled.
Nose : The wine has a very fruity bouquet (red fruits, blackcurrant) with
aromas of red fruit jam
Palate : A balanced wine with silky tannins and a superb lengthy finish.
