I. WELL-DEFINED OBJECTIVES
Program under Survey
Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management and revised into the
Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management.
Program Description
The Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management is a four-year
degree program that aims to equip students with the appropriate skills, knowledge, and
attitude needed in order to be effective in delivering of necessary services in the
hospitality industry. Students in this program will be involved in various training that will
help them develop their management skills which will be vital in addressing the need of
the different sectors of the hospitality industry, especially in the resort and hotel
operations, front office, culinary, and tourism industry. (CHED Memo No. 30, s. 2006,

A graduate of this program can work as Front Office Supervisor, as Front Desk
Clerk, as Chef, as Assistant Cook, as Restaurant Manager, as Bartender, as Bar
Attendant, as Food & Beverage Service Attendant, as Housekeeping Supervisor, as
Housekeeping Attendant, and as Banquet Supervisor. (CHED Memo No. 30, s. 2006,
section 6).
Program Objectives:
1. Exemplify knowledge, skills and personal qualities in managing hotel and restaurant
enterprises;
2. Adapt to the emerging global trends in the hospitality industry;
3. Manifest the ability in building national and international linkages and cultural
exchange; and
4. Initiate entrepreneurial activities to generate income.
