               Mr. Rodney Bullard
Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility for Chick-fil-A
               5200 Buffington Road
               Atlanta, GA 30349
               Dear Mr. Bullard,

It is with great pleasure that I write this thank you letter for your generous donation of the Chick-fil-
A Service Scholarship to the students at Morehouse School of Medicine. My name is Sonya
Randolph, and I am a native of Atlanta, GA and graduate of The University of Alabama for my
undergraduate degree and Georgia State University for my Masters degree. I have worked in the
healthcare field for over ten years, starting off as a CNA, then working as a patient access
representative, and finally working as an EMT for five years. I am a second-year medical student at
Morehouse School of Medicine, and I am overjoyed to be able to live out my dreams of becoming a
Pediatrician and/or an Emergency Department physician at a Pediatric Hospital.

I want to personally let you know how much your gift means to me. Your gift has allowed me to
relieve some of the burden of my financial stress for housing. I am older than most of my
classmates, so starting a family is in my near future. With your generous gift I can look forward to
being able to save my financial earnings instead of using most of it to pay down loans from medical
school. I can stop looking for part-time jobs like I was previously doing and completely focus on
doing well in school to become a great physician.

Morehouse School of Medicine has been a pioneer in helping the underserved and increasing the
amount of African American physicians and healthcare professionals throughout the country. I am
thankful to Chick-fil-A for recognizing this and making a substantial impact in the lives of the
students here at MSM. Thank you for believing in our future, for believing in our goals and
aspirations and for aiding in our success. You are appreciated more than you know!

               Sincerely,

               Sonya F. Randolph
