Dear Mr. Bullard,
Thank you for your generous donation to Morehouse School of Medicine. I am
tremendously honored and appreciative to receive this award. I was born in Moscow, Idaho,
however I have lived most of my life in Nashville, Tennessee. Becoming a doctor has been my
dream since I was young. To pursue that goal, I attended Lipscomb University, where I majored in
biology and minored in chemistry. While attending Lipscomb University, I gained wonderful
mentors and increased my scientific knowledge which further inspired me to pursue my goals of
becoming a doctor.
Upon graduating college, I completed my Master of Science in Medical Sciences degree here
at Morehouse School of Medicine, and I am currently a second-year medical student. Since attending
MSM, I have grown as a person, increased my academic confidence and have become a more critical
thinker. MSM’s commitment to the advancement of all, serving the underserved and its
commitment to students has been the key motivating factors for me choosing to pursue my Medical
degree here at MSM. I am forever appreciative to have someone invest in my dreams. The cost of
receiving an education of any sort is very expensive and can be a burden, however knowing that I
have someone willing to invest in my future financially has been a blessing. I would like to thank you
for the Chick-fil-A Service Scholarship - your gracious gift is an investment into my academic career.
Sincerely,
Bria Harris
