MSM has established Campaign Giving Societies for gifts of $100,000 - $249,999; $250,000 - $999,999 and
$1,000,000 or greater.
Event cultivation/leveraging opportunities:
o Woodruff Foundation ($20M) -
o Truist ($10M) – Arnold Evans, EVP & Ethics Officer, is helping to develop ask to Truist
Dr. Montgomery Rice is talking with Craig Menear, CEO of The Home Depot re: Vanguard Award recipient
CEO letter from co-chairs
o David Abney will make phone calls to personally invite CEO’s to the event
o Larry and Art will consider who in their network they will invite to the event

National Academy Foundation (NAF): Be Future Ready – Transforming High School Education
NAF’s educational design ignites students’ passion for learning and gives businesses the opportunity to
shape America’s future workforce by transforming the learning environment to include STEM infused
industry-specific curricula and work-based learning experiences, including internships.
Larry serves on the board of the foundation and will ask Sandy to include MSM among partner schools,
including having NAF provide internship opportunities to MSM medical students
Potential NAF board connections:
o Ron Williams, Former CEO, Aetna – Larry will have lunch with Ron next week
o David Steward, Chairman and Founder, World Wide Technology and Member, Horatio Alger
o Ken Chenault, Former Chairman and CEO, American Express

NAF will honor Larry in May at 17 Annual NAF Benefit

Council committee meetings (around signature initiatives) are being scheduled for March
OIA team working with faculty on development of white papers around areas of excellence
OIA team working with Council members to schedule Salon Events throughout the academic year
o 7 council members have agreed to host salon events
o 2-3 events will take place prior to Gloster/Campaign Kickoff
