Safely
USING OILS
Follow these five tips to help you use your oils safely!
One
Essential oils from Young Living can be used aromatically, topically, and internally. Check the label to see which of those ways it can be used.
Two
Avoid getting oils in your eyes or ears. If you accidentally do, never use water to rinse the oils out. Apply carrier oil or milk to the area to reduce redness and discomfort.
Three
Start low and slow. Essential oils are very concentrated and less is more! When diffusing, start with 2-3 drops of one oil and diffuse for 30 minutes. If you’re feeling good after that, continue for a bit longer. Experiment to see how different oils make you feel.
Four
Until you are body is comfortable with oils, dilute! When in doubt, dilute!
Five
Many oils are safe to use during pregnancy, but always let your OB/GYN know that you are using oils and check with them if you have any concerns.
