FOREWORD:

I was very honoured to be asked to write a foreword for such a remarkable young man. In my life
and in business, the attributes that I know to be the most prominent for any successful individual
are undoubtedly hard work and perseverance. Anthony Kairuz has an abundance of both.

I have known Anthony since he was a little boy, back then, long before his injury he already stood
out as someone special. A certain charisma radiated from him, his huge smile, cheeky nature and
positive attitude always drew everyone to want to be around him - some traits he had inherited
from his wildly popular father. However, it wasn't until his accident, did I truly understand what
Anthony was made of. Grit. Strength. Determination.

The iron grit and nerves of steel that manifest themselves in many outstanding businessmen were
displayed to me by Anthony one day on my game farm. We had a flat tyre... in lion territory... I was
forced to change the tyre while Anthony had to keep an eye on the four predatorial onlookers that
were a bit more curious than you would like a pack of lions to be under the circumstances. Under
a clear level of risk (more to him than anyone else) Anthony certainly made the time fly by
constantly making humorous comments, and not for one minute did his courage ever waiver, man
was I impressed!

He has overcome mountains in his lifetime that very few have ever had to challenge. To come out
a survivor on the other side would have meant triumph but Anthony is no ordinary hardened
survivor, and he wasn't going to allow a spinal cord injury or anything else get in his way of
achieving great things.

Anthony was a great rugby player back at school, he played in the Potch 1st team from grade 10.
After his accident and spending some time really getting to know him, I knew that it was just a
matter of time before he started scoring tries again, except this time they would not be on the
rugby field but on the business field. Boy was I right! Not only has he scored some phenomenal
business tries but I’m proud to say that he has scored some of them for my own team.

I have no doubt that this is just the beginning of an exceptional business career, I'm going to keep
on fighting to be part of his team.

Anthony, your book just like you is inspirational, I have listened carefully to the solid business
fundamentals that you have highlighted and will keep them close at hand. I am very proud to call
you my friend, but I really see you as family. I look forward to the future that awaits you.
