Our tuck-shop has continued to operate successfully, efficiently and profit
ably. The ladies of our tuck-shop have, as usual, done a wonderful job, although
sometimes very shorthanded and frequently serving in the tuck-shop day after
day because of the absence of volunteers to replace them. These mothers
deserve our sincere thanks and appreciation. How much easier this work would
be for these ladies if more mothers would volunteer for tuck-shop duty, and in
doing so they would be helping their own children.
Plans have been submitted for the Assembly Hall, and we are advised by
the Department of Education that we will be included in this year's subsidy
for an amount of $30,000.00 to assist in the erecting of this hall. Legal
formalities are now almost complete between the Department of Interior and
the Department of Education for the transfer of the drill hall grounds. We have
seen fit to allocate to your Principal sizeable sums of money to use for the
academic side of your school and for the sporting side, and for other purposes
as he sees fit.
We are disappointed to learn that the Army has condemned the stop butt
on the Cadets’ rifle range.
All committees of the Association have worked well throughout the year.
Much of the success of the Association in the past year must be attributed to
your Principal and his staff for their close co-operation throughout the year.
Thank you, students, for your contribution throughout the year.
W. M. LAMOND,
President.
