TIP: Try doing your Self-talk as if you are speaking to yourself in the second person. E.g. Use “You need to dig deep” instead of “I need to dig deep”.

Continuous and Systemic practise.: Use positive self-talk during training sessions over the next week and during the first preseason game when the time comes to man marking your player and going into the tackle.
Objective: An Introduction to Affirmations , diminish negative thoughts. Time to Spend: 30 mins.
Your affirmation is your elevator pitch statement – A positive, clear and concise statement about who you are and what you are good at.
1. It reaffirms who you are and what you can do.
2. It reduces stress and anxiety.
Your affirmation is your Performance contract with yourself!
Believe it! Say it! Own it! Repeat it!
