  Concentration:
Concentration is, in 4 parts, the;
Ability to focus on what’s relevant (selective attention).
Being able to maintaining that concentration for the whole game or event. Having situational awareness.
Being able to shift concentration when necessary.
Athletes need certain ability to enhance their concentration. These include;
1. Athletes must be able to develop appropriate concentration in the build up to a game
2. Athletes must be able to recognize quickly when concentration has been lost (body is on
court but the mind has left)
3. Athletes must be able to refocus when they are aware that focus has been lost
4. Athletes must be able to manage their concentration throughout a game
Have a short conversation with you players about how they feel the perform on the above 4 points. This may influence changes you can make in training
