Mental Wealth Psychological Skills for Coaches
1. Build your self-confidence by using positive self-talk to reinforce what you do well. Each day mentally complete a list of (what went well today)
2. Set, review, and evaluate your goals. Create a developmental plan that includes a year- long schedule divided into monthly, weekly, and daily sub goals.
3. If stress is a problem, work on changing the nature of your working environment, controlling your perceptions of situations, and learning relaxation techniques.
4. Learn and practice imagery techniques that they can use to anticipate and solve
problems, prepare for matches, rehearse sequences, cope with difficulties, and reinforce
positive decisions.
5. Stay task focused and spend a little time each day sitting in silence or doing meditation.
6. Know your intrinsic and extrinsic drivers so you can prioritise tasks
