合，象征好兆头，为场面增添喜庆氛围。发粄有红色、黄色、白色等，有些师傅也会加入酒
糟来发酵，增添独特风味

In Meixian, this cake is known as “BO Ban”, where “BO” symbolizes prosperity and flourishing. These
cakes are often used to occasions like housewarming, celebrations, religious ceremonies and oth-
er joyous occasions, representing auspiciousness and adding a festive atmosphere. They come
in various colors, such as red, yellow and white, and some chefs even add wine dregs to create a
unique flavour.
