MAHABODHI Temple Complex at Bodh Gaya
The sacred place where Buddha attained enlightenment
Year of Inscription: 2002
BODH GAYA is a religious site and place of
pilgrimage associated with the Mahabodhi Temple.
The temple was built by King Asoka in the 3rd
century BC with the “diamond throne” under the
holy Bodhi tree. The tree which was planted at the
west side of the temple is considered to be a
descendant of the original tree under which Lord 圣菩提树 Holy Bodhi Tree
