                      Goh-Paik-Si – 584

is a figurative and numerical jargon in Hokkien
[a dialect of the Fujian province of China]
that denotes a person inclined towards sensual pleasure,
[one of the causes of suffering] which came in appropriate
for me here to put the sharing of the Buddha Dhamma in
an eye-opening approach, easily understood, realised and
known by the Hokkien speaking dhamma seekers and farers.

Goh, a numerical to represent 5,
is all about the 5 Khandhas.
Paik, a numerical to represent 8,
is all about the Noble Eightfold Path.
Si, a numerical to represent 4,
is all about the 4 Noble Truths.

An opportune time at an opportune place, meeting a noble

ajahn who asked me why i read so much. While taken aback,
the understanding of those words rang in my ears, as if it was
a wake up call, that i realised for many years of reading the
dhamma amounts to not much of a spiritual progress.
He then spoke of the Buddha dhamma is in you, look within
you, watch your mind, mindful of your khandhas –
come back to yourself, know yourself,
when you know yourself you know others.

Take it easy, Make it simple,
Stay with the one who knows – yourself.

                              Stay with the Dhamma.
Take the neutral way, it will take you to the neutral mind.
