RADIX RATANHIAE
(KRAMARIA)
Krameria Root, Peruvian Rhatany, Ratanhia, Peru- or Payta-Ratahia.
It is the dried roots of Krameria triandra Ruiz et Pav. (Fam.
Krameriaceae). Rhatany root contains not more than 2% of foreign organic matter.
It is a low under-shrub native to the Bolivian and Peruvian Andes. Drug imports
come from Peru and Ecuador and from Bolivia.
