             A Guide to Onboarding Your New Hire


             Texas Mutual is a great company, with great people and a great culture. Onboarding is our first opportunity to
             demonstrate this. We encourage you to create an onboarding experience for your new employee that is unique, fun and
             emphasizes connection. Let’s make a lasting first impression that reassures our new hire they made the RIGHT choice!





        Before the first day.
                                  Submit a TXM At Your Service ticket to ensure your new hire has the equipment and access


                                  they need for their role


                                  Call your new hire at least two days before their start date to connect (see suggested talking
                                  points below)


                                  Plan to take your new hire to lunch on their first day
                                  Send introduction email to current staff with information about the new hire


                                  Schedule an event to introduce your new hire to the team




                                  Identify a Mutual Partner who will be your new hire’s buddy and assist with their onboarding
                                  (see Mutual Partner information below)
                                  Prepare first week schedule with a focus on policies, procedures and goals


                                  Prepare onboarding training plan to help new hire learn their role, systems, tools,


                                  programs, etc.
