At Henderson Cattle Company we focus on performance over percentage to produce foals that will excel in the arena or on the ranch, stay sound, and look good doing it all.
Our ranch is in the arid, desert country of Northeastern Utah. We raise alfalfa hay, corn, and some small grains. All of the feed we produce is used in our feedlot. We buy and feed approximately 3000 head of bawling calves each year as well as raising about 100 head of our own calves.
Our horses are used to ride pens, check pairs, and move pastures as well as playing hard in the arena. We start our colts slow and easy to create a willing partner. We focus on a solid foundation that can easily be built on to create a finished partner in whatever event you choose.
Our stallion, Rojos Klassy Fox is an AQHA World Champion and Reserve World Champion in Amateur Cowboy Mounted Shooting. He has been hauled all over the country competing
and has physically and mentally given 110% no matter the facility or climate. He also gets used on the ranch and has team roped, both heading and heeling.
Our mare herd was carefully built with an emphasis on performance. Every mare is
a daughter or sister of a proven performer including three daughters and a sister of the living legend Blue Fox Hancock, two daughters of Mr Junewood, and daughters of Driftwood Sensation, APHA World Champion Tru Oakley, AQHA World Champion Jerry Lees Surprise, and $14 million dollar sire Smart Chic Olena.
