Chain of Infection
Chain of infection is a model describe the sequence of infection occurs.
The agent leaves its reservoir or host through a portal of exit, is
conveyed by some mode of transmission, and enters through an
appropriate portal of entry to infect a susceptible host.
Infection Control
Infection control strategies are aimed at breaking this chain of infection
at all the possible sites.
