At first, his body wobbled and dipped, but then, just as he had done in the
park, Aiden floated higher, the wind rushing past him as he soared towards

the rooftop. Lucky barked from below, running as fast as he could to keep up.
“Dr. Gloom!” Aiden shouted as he landed on the rooftop with a soft thud.

The villain turned, his dark eyes locking onto Aiden.

A twisted smile spread across his face. “Ah, the new superhero. I was
wondering when you’d show up.” Aiden’s hands trembled, but he stood tall.

“You’re not going to make everyone sad and gloomy, Dr. Gloom. I won’t let
you!” Dr. Gloom laughed, his voice like a cold wind. “You think you can stop

me? You’re just a boy playing hero. But go ahead, try.”
