“Do I need to fly?” Aiden asked, his voice wavering. “Because I’m still not sure I’m
ready for that.” Lucky barked as he ran. “We’ll get there when we need to. For now,
let’s check out what’s happening in the city!” They dashed down the street, Aiden’s
mind racing as fast as his feet. He still couldn’t wrap his head around everything
that was happening. One moment, he was just a regular kid playing with his dog in
the park, and now he was supposed to be some sort of superhero? It didn’t make
any sense. As they reached the edge of the city, the dark clouds overhead grew
thicker, casting a shadow over everything. People hurried down the sidewalks,
looking confused and uneasy, and the once-busy streets were now eerily quiet.
