are some of the words often used to describe Rev. Dr. Sonja Elise
P O Z E M A G A Z I N E Freeman also known as Pastor Sonja Elise, which means “Leader of
a Christian congregation, Wisdom Beauty” is an award-winning
REV. DR. Recording Artist/Songwriter/Producer with Divine Voices Music
Group, an independent label in Houston, TX and she under the
spiritual direction at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Dr.
SONJA ELISE Marcus Cosby, Pastor and loves to share her gift of music and
encouragement to all to be inspired toward accepting Christ into
their hearts. She is the Vice President of Marketing
FREEMAN Communications and Artist-in-Residence for The Rhythm and Blues
Preservation Society, a nonprofit music society based in Atlantic
City, New Jersey.
Their mission is to preserve Black music one record at a time to
have African American Music Studies degree programs from
bachelor to doctorate level in colleges and universities across
Hon D. Div, EMBA, CTM America by 2030. Every year she along with Mr. Perry Thompson,
Founder/Executive Director of The Rhythm and Blues Preservation
Recording Artist/Off- Society, curates African American Music History books for
Broadway Producer/ international and national library curations during Black History
Month, Black Music Month, Jazz Appreciation Month, and Hip Hop
Inspirational Influencer Appreciation Month at HBCUs, PWI and community libraries such as
Seton Hall University, Hampton University, Rutgers University at
Camden, University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, Jackson State
University, Stockton University, King’s College in London, The
Barbican Library in London, Rowan University, Bowie State
University, and University of South Carolina just to name a few. She
released her 1st Gospel debut single in 2018 called “This Day”
written by the Late Edwin Hawkins and vocals produced by Pastor
Sonja Elise for Divine Voices Media. It is an a cappella recording of
the classic Gospel song written by the Legendary Dr. Edwin
Hawkins about God supplying our needs according to his riches in
Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
