Q&A with
Stefanie Michaela
1) Your recent single, Found in You, is inspired by the love you share with your husband. What was
the creative process like in bringing such a personal story to life?
Stefanie: I really made sure I dug super deep for this one. Every lyric in this song is a true emotion I
experienced with my husband, reflecting the real feelings behind each line. I want everyone to
hear the true meaning of this song. If people take a step back and really see what’s in front of
them, they should take a chance—you never know where it might lead. It doesn’t always work the
way you want it to, but in time, you’ll realize someone was meant to be in your life.
2) After taking a break from music to focus on raising your children, what was the moment that
reignited your passion to step back into the industry?
Stefanie: I knew something was missing in my life,
but I hadn’t been truly honest with myself—never
really stopping to think, “What if I brought my passion
back into my life? What would that mean for me?” I
ended up connecting with an LA producer to help
him with his music catalog. We planned to write
songs together, record demos, and so on.
Once I was back in the studio, while still being a full-
time mom, it reignited a powerful drive within me. I
thought, “What if I create my own project again?
What if I bring the new Stefanie Michaela into my life
and show my kids my true passion as a mom? What
would that mean for me, and how would it change
me as a wife and mother?”
3) Working with Grammy-winning producer Keith
Thomas is a major milestone. What was it like
collaborating with him, and how did his influence
shape your sound?
Stefanie: He has such a strong background in the pop and R&B fields, and I knew he was the perfect
fit for me. Having the opportunity to work with someone as incredible as Keith—both as a producer
and a person—was truly a dream come true. The connection was so real and effortless. It’s exactly the
kind of energy you need in a studio environment, putting pen to paper and bringing all my ideas to life
with his amazing melodies. The second he started playing chords and experimenting with different
sounds, I made sure to tell him what I liked and what kind of sound I was trying to achieve and convey
to the audience. With Keith’s track record of timeless hits, I knew we were on the right path, and it
was so exciting.
