Page 12 - The adventures of Aiden
P. 12
Without warning, Dr. Gloom sent a wave of dark mist swirling towards Aiden. It hit
him like a wall, cold and heavy, filling his mind with doubt and fear. Aiden stumbled
back, his heart racing. “You can’t do this,” the mist seemed to whisper. “You’re not
strong enough.” Aiden gasped for air, the weight of the mist pushing him down. His
thoughts spiraled—what if he really wasn’t strong enough? What if he couldn’t be
the hero the city needed? But then, through the fog, Aiden heard a familiar voice.
“Aiden! Don’t listen to him! You’re stronger than this!” It was Lucky. He was at the
edge of the building, barking up at Aiden, his voice clear and strong. Aiden’s eyes
snapped open. Lucky was right. He could do this. He had to do this.
