very excited to hear that there are dog friendly rooms available in the terraced block. This is great news for the many of us who have dogs and treat them like children, bringing them everywhere. Why wouldn’t you when there are so many gorgeous walks, such as the Castlecoole Lake walk Trail, Florence Court, Castle Archdale Forest and the many walks around Lough Erne. On this occasion, Coby (my mad Springer Spaniel) was not invited as I needed some peace from this crazy pup to make this review.
Terry had given us one of the best rooms in the motel, a spacious and luxurious Executive ensuite room with all the modern features you would expect. We were not disappointed. The room offers a kingsize double bed, 50” Multi- Channel SMART TV and phone docking station, clock radio, safe, tea and coffee making facility, fridge, telephone, ironing centre, hairdryer, Nespresso coffee machine and free wifi. One of the unique features of our room was the bath with built-in TV! which was a very tempting.
The room at The Belmore Court and Motel
We arrived at the beautifully well-kept and well-appointed building, offering excellent car parking surrounded by secure fence and fledgeling hedgerow. Adjacent to the main building was a quaint block of 8 terraced houses overlooking the car park which added to the size of the Motel. From my pre-trip fact-finding exercise, I had learnt that this block is an original 1950s building all tastefully converted into 30 bedroom units with mini kitchens.
On entering the reception area, we felt very safe with well organised Covid-19 safety measures. Hand sanitiser is available on arrival and a social distancing screen positioned to allow for safe interaction between customer and receptionist. After a very warm welcome from Carl, the Front of House Manager, we made our way up to an Executive room on the 3rd floor. In addition to the original building, the newer Belmore Court building offers 30 modern superior and executive rooms, double, twins, triple, accessible and family. I was
Pat’s Bar
Once settled, we had a short time before our dinner which was booked at the Westville Hotel. As it was fastly approaching ‘wine time’, we ventured out to Pat’s Bar on the main street, recommended by Carl. This is one of a few bars that you can walk into without a booking and only a 10 minute walk from the motel. One difference between a motel and a hotel is that a motel does not offer dining or bar facilities. However, there are plenty of restaurants, bistros, cafes, pubs and bars all within a short distance of the motel. For those staying at the Belmore Court rooms with mini kitchens, there are

takeaways close by and a large Tesco supermarket directly opposite.
Our dinner at the Westville Hotel, a 3 minute walk from the motel, was an added luxury to our stay and felt like a real reward. It was a dining experience second to none! The professional customer service, the stylish restaurant, the open kitchen where you could watch the chefs work, the noticeable high standards, excellent Covid-19 safety measures and the top quality scrumptious food on offer all added up to one of the best 3 course meals we have ever experienced! Being mainly plant based eaters, we were very impressed with the vegan and vegetarian options available.
Feeling totally food dazed , we headed back to the motel to relax in our Executive room and for a welcome sleep in one of the most comfortable bedsIhaveeversleptin! Icouldhave stayed in bed all day but breakfast was calling. WiththeexceptionalCovid-19 measures in place, breakfast is staggered so we booked the ‘not so early’ 8.30am slot. The range of
