Thanksgiving and
Christmas
We prepared holiday meals in to-go
containers this year for patrons to pick
up. Most meals were delivered by
volunteers to individuals and families
who could not pick up their meals and
residents of senior housing who could
not be with family due to Covid-19 Volunteers preparing take-out meals for
restrictions. Thanksgiving dinner in our kitchen.

FREE MONTHLY COVID-19 TESTING
St. Vincent de Paul Place was one of the first agencies
in Norwich to offer free walk up Covid-19 testing on
site to anyone in need. Our first event was hosted in
June in our parking lot by Hartford Health Care. We
continued monthly testing with Generations Family
Health Center. Our partners provided 534 free tests
from June to December.
COMMUNITY CLEAN UPS
The pandemic may have delayed the
start of the 2020 RISE Community
Clean Ups, but it did not dampen the
enthusiasm of all the volunteers. In five
months, members from Reliance Health,
Last Green Valley, SVdPP and many
others collected 20,520 pounds of trash Generations Family Health Center staff clean and
from our neighborhoods with masks and prepare to administer Covid-19 tests outside SVDPP.
