by local artist. Acting togethe with Harambee Ujima using
Art to empower the Black Arts Festival to Breathe Life into
African American Neighborhoods.
Dakarai Akil a innovative 26-year-
old Cleveland mural artist for
whom seemingly everything is a
canvas. Learned to love art from
his father, multimedia artist, Tim
Ashby; Akil work tells great stories
popular among young urban
gallery-goers and
poetry slammers.
Expanding his
audience beyond
traditional art has
launched his
BrandUSA to "usable
objects. Tables, chairs,
welcome mats.
