We are delighted to report that, London%u2019s Air Ambulance, our charity for the raffle last year, successfully secured the funds for the two new helicopters needed to replace their aging fleet. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING and NEW YEAR RECEPTION 2024Monday 20 January 2025Our grateful thanks are due to the management of the Mandarin Oriental for again making the Ballroom available to us for what will be our 63rd AGM and New Year reception. This will take the usual format with the champagne reception immediately prior to the AGM followed by reports from Committee Chairmen and and parts of Lambeth, Merton, Westminster, Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea and Richmond. Founded in 1891, by a member of the Hoare banking family, they are the oldest hospice in the UK. Today, they provide free, specialist support and care for around 2,500 people every year. They are based in Clapham and have charity shops all over London including in Kensington and Chelsea.Question and Answer session. The raffle will again feature three magnums of champagne, a custom introduced by our then Life President, the late Lady Grade.Our chosen charity for this year%u2019s Raffle, Royal Trinity Hospice, is the local hospice for south west and central London. They provide free specialist palliative and end of life care for people living in Wandsworth
