HEALTH AND SAFETY ROUND-UP
This August we are delighted to celebrate three years with no RIDDOR reports.
RIDDOR is the reporting of inquires, diseases and dangerous occurrences regulations, and it is really important to us here at CAV, as it helps to maintain a safe working environment.
Well done to everyone in helping to make this achievement possible.
The August H&S Theme of the Month is 'Working at Height'
Posters and details have been issued but as reminder, 'Working at Height' means any work in any place where, if there were no precautions in place, a person could fall a distance liable to cause personal injury (an example a fall through a fragile roof or fall from a ladder).
Please do familiarise yourself with the details and if in doubt 'ASK'.
And Finally ...
We have had a few incidents of burst tyres due to rogue screws languishing on the ground in staff car parks. This is something that impacts on everyone so if you see any please pick them up in and put them in the bin or one of the buckets provided.
