5 Twist and pull the cell body cover counterclockwise to open
it.
6 Pour one level spoon of corundum sand into the water in the cell.

7 Replace the cover and start the water flow.
8 Check that the flow rate through the cell is 60 to 75 L/h. This
is the correct water flow in order to keep the corundum sand working.

9 Start the Easy Setup.

10 Wait for 24 hours before starting the calibration. The working surfaces of the electrodes require time for stabilization.

CAUTION
Do not add more than one level spoon of corundum sand to the sensor body. Replace it completely or damage to the sensor body can occur.
Note . All the substitutions or the cleaning of electrodes require a new start-up. Always make sure the required amount of corundum sand is swirling in the cell body.
11 Do the calibration procedure. Refer to AWT420 transmitter – Operating instruction OI/AWT420.
