         From your house to theirs
Over 100 guests from law firms and housing developers across the UK attended a hospitality event hosted by Dye & Durham to raise money for World Housing charity.
Held at Henley Royal Regatta, home of the world-famous rowing competition, the event was sponsored by Thirdfort, a leading supplier of automated ID verification, AML compliance and source of funds checks, and by market-leading insurance indemnity solutions provider Dual Asset.
Dye & Durham’s UK Managing Director, Tom Durbin St. George, called the event long overdue, commenting: “After so much time apart, it was wonderful for our sales team and account managers to meet with our conveyancing clients in person for a fun-filled few days as a big thank you to our clients, but also to raise money for those less fortunate than ourselves.
The two-day event successfully raised funds for World Housing,
a charity that helps provide housing to families in need. As a World Housing Ambassador, Dye & Durham donates a portion of their transactions to drive social impact in
developing nations.
Caroline Hume, a partner at Taylor
Walton and in attendance at the event, said, “It was an honour to be able to contribute to Dye &
Durham’s efforts to support World Housing and help homeless people around the world.
“Dye & Durham and the sponsors were incredibly generous.”

The much-anticipated Agents Giving Charity ball unveiled its Strictly Star last month at its annual event that also recognised the outstanding fundraising efforts of the property industry.
Danielle Lanthier from Paramount took home the Agents Giving glitterball trophy. She said, “I’m thrilled and humbled to have won Agents do Strictly - I still can’t believe it! It was a rollercoaster of an experience and I’m so thankful to have been a part of it. The win is great, but I think the best thing
I’ve taken out of this is having faced the fear of getting up in front of hundreds of people to perform.
I’d do it again in a heartbeat”.
Fellow competitor, Katy Poore of Thomas Morris, may not have
Danielle Lanthier and Charlie
won the dance competition, but did go home with the Outstanding Contribution Award for her relentless drive to support charity and local community.
It was one of the many awards handed out to fundraising champions across 11 categories. During the course of the evening at The Epsom Downs Racecourse, guests enjoyed a live band and
a charity auction run by Andrew Parker of SDL Auctions. Donations were made by numerous companies in the property sector and raised a further £18,500.
David Newnes, Chairman of Agents Giving, added: “The Agents Giving Ball was an opportunity for the industry to come together for a night of glamour and celebration.”
New charitable mark for Propertymark
At the recent NAEA Propertymark Conference, Propertymark members’ charity, Arbon Trust announced its new uniformed identity and strategic vision.
The charity, first registered in 2015, will now be known as The Propertymark Trust and will further enhance its reputation and mission to support those in need as well as other worthy charities through fund raising activity.
The Trust has recently provided more than 50 education grants
and over £9,000 in funding to help launch Propertymark Qualifications’ apprenticeship scheme as well as help members from across the country struck with difficult times.
Previously, the Trust has provided financial support to make adaptations to the house of a
Propertymark member whose accident left them in a wheelchair. Funding enabled them to have additional physiotherapy and resulted in them regaining movement in their legs and eventually getting back on their feet. Lauren Scott, Chair of The Propertymark Trust commented, “The recent announcement is an exciting one and we hope that the industry will follow and support us on our journey as we enhance our ongoing sponsorship and financial assistance to those in our industry that need it most.”
At the NAEA Propertymark Conference, the charity invited
a selection of small and friendly dogs from The Cuddle Club so that attendees could have a cuddle and go away with a smile on their faces.
