Supporter news 55I am delighted to introduce myself as the new Digital Communications Assistant at Glaucoma UK. In this role, I will work to elevate our digital presence by delivering inspiring content. I am passionate about contributing to the charity%u2019s vision to end preventable sight loss from glaucoma and excited to collaborate with the team on impactful communication strategies that will make a difference in people%u2019s lives. My goal in this position is to strengthen the awareness of eye health and encourage everyone to prioritise regular eye tests.I achieved a bachelor%u2019s degree in Media and Communications, where my interest in advertising and digital marketing flourished. This passion led me to pursue a master%u2019s degree in Marketing at Loughborough University, deepening my knowledge in brand management and social media. My professional journey includes working with an education firm, where I transformed their social channels and developed a social media strategy. I also gained experience at an advertising agency, producing digital content and graphics for various international brands and managing their social media accounts. In my free time, I produce DJ mixes, specialising in Indian music, particularly Bhangra and Bollywood hits. I also enjoy Bhangra dancing, attending classes to learn from talented individuals, whilst refining my technique and celebrating my Punjabi, Indian culture.
