The Sandals Resorts brand first began in 1981 when the flagship resort - Sandals Montego Bay – first opened in Jamaica.
Since then, Sandals has been a leader in the luxury all-inclusive holiday market for the past 40 years - starting with introducing the first swim up pool bars in the Caribbean in 1984 and being the first resort company in the region to provide hairdryers in guest bedrooms in 1987.
There are currently 16 – soon to be 17
- adults-only Sandals resorts located in stunning beachfront settings across the Caribbean, including destinations such as Antigua, Barbados, Grenada, Jamaica, St Lucia, The Bahamas and most recently Curaçao, which opened in June 2022.

St Lucia, Grenada, Antigua, Jamaica
and Barbados many with their own private pools accessible directly from the bedroom and Maldivian-style Over- the-Water suites at selected resorts in Jamaica and St Lucia, which were the first of their kind to be introduced in the Caribbean.
Following the brand’s first venture into the Dutch-Caribbean, the all-new Sandals Royal Curaçao opened on 1st June 2022 with 351 luxurious rooms and suites and more all-inclusive luxury options than ever before.
New Signature Love Nest Butler Suite categories include the Awa Seaside Butler Bungalows and Kurason Island Poolside Butler Bungalows, which come complete with complimentary convertible MINI Coopers that guests can use to explore the island.
The resort is home to Sandals’ first two-level infinity pool and seven
