     COLA
AT POP RECS, SUNDERLAND
Indie outfit Cola will perform at the stunningly beautiful Pop Recs in Sunderland on Sunday 28th August. The trio, comprised of former members of Ought, Tim Darcy and Ben Stidworthy, joined by drummer Evan Cartwright, began with mutual collaboration in 2019, but the arrival of the pandemic forced them into solitude, isolated from each other and composing separate material. Reunited, they further brought their pieces together, creating a unique album that reflects on the turbulent timeframe in which it was composed. A short walk from Park Lane, Pop Recs is the ideal community venue to see this emerging talent. WAYNE MADDEN
