LEEDS FESTIVAL
AT BRAMHAM PARK, LEEDS
Anticipated to be the most diverse line-up of the summer, Leeds Festival returns to Bramham Park over the August Bank Holiday weekend (26th-28th). Following the impact that live music has sustained over the last few years, organisers have confirmed that there will be a dual main stage this year. Heading the main stage on Friday are American rock band Rage Against the Machine who will make their long-awaited comeback to the festival after a lengthy hiatus. Expect heavy hits including 'Testify' and 'Killing in The Name of’. Indie-pop singer Halsey, having released her fourth album ‘If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power’, makes her debut appearance at Leeds as she looks to reinvent the indie genre. On the Saturday, Dave will be the youngest solo artist ever to headline Leeds. Expect to hear huge hits such as ‘Thiago Silva’ and newly released single, ‘Starlight’. Multi-Grammy-winning US rap megastar, Megan Thee Stallion, then closes the night following her recent run of huge freestyle and archive releases.Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes return after an epic set at Download with their full-bodied, hard-hitting punk-rock. Expect the pits to open up with hits such as ‘Juggernaut’ and ‘Crowbar’. The rumour mill went into overdrive last year and after a three- year hiatus, indie rockers Arctic Monkeys are back. The band last performed during their ‘Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino’ tour, with their Yorkshire fans most definitely overdue a local date. After much anticipation and past secret sets, Bring Me the Horizon close this year's festival, having established themselves as one of the most enduring metalcore groups with their mix of deathcore rock. Spanning a career of almost 20 years, Sykes had previously said: "To be headlining Leeds Festival was never even a dream of mine as it's something I could never imagine happening. I just never saw our band as a festival headline act. But now that it's happening, I promise you we are going to put on the best show of our lives.” With legendary hits like ‘Drown’, ‘Can You Feel My Heart’ and ‘Mantra’, Bring Me The Horizon are sure to leave their mark at Leeds Festival. Other artists to dominate this year's line-up include Little Simz, Fever 333, Enter Shikari, Maneskin, Wolf Alice and Bastille. ASHLEY SHEPHARD
