As a whole, the Act, consisting of 14 Chapters 217
Sections and 2 Schedules. Out of the same, the following
chapters specifically deal with motor third party
insurance;

Chapter X consisting of sections 140 to 144
corresponding to Chapter VII -A Sections 92 A to 92-E
of the 1939 Act, deal with "Liability without Fault in
Certain Cases.

Chapter XI consisting of sections 145 to 164 deal with
"Insurance of Motor Vehicle against Third party Risks."

Chapter XII consisting of sections, 165 to 176 of the
Act deal with "Claims Tribunals."

Whilst Chapters X, XI, and XII of Motor Vehicles Act,
1988 deal exclusively with compulsory third party
insurance of motor vehicles, the other chapters deal with
many other aspects of the road law which frequently
appear in the insurance documents.
