of the society. The coverage is similar to that of
individual mediclaim policy except that cumulative
bonus and free medical checkup benefits are not
provided. The sum insured person is restricted to
Rs. 5000 and at a nominal premium.
(ii) Mediclaim and Group Mediclaim Policy -
mediclaim policy is designed to provide
reimbursement and domiciliary hospitalisation
expenses for illness or disease suffered for any
accidental injury sustained during the policy period.
Apart from the hospitalisation expenses it also
covers all the related medical expenses for that
particular disease, illness or injury for one month of
pre hospitalisation and two months of post
hospitalisation period.
In case of continuous insurance without break, the
sum insured gets increased by 5% for each claim
free year of insurance subject to a maximum of 10
