Q2.a) Discuss in detail the important factors which
an Insurer considers while underwriting a
Burglary Insurance.
Ans. There are some important underwriting considerations
while underwriting Burglary Insurance. They are as
follows:
(i) Nature of the insured property - two aspects
are relevant here, one the value of the property
and the other, the weight and the volume of the
profit. Articles of small weight and volume having
high-value are obviously most attractive to the
burglars.
(ii) Premises in which the insured property is
housed - the class of construction of the premises
is important. Besides, premises situated in densely
