his account. This time again the customer quietly had the dinner but was
           not yet convinced to forget the wrong debit.


           Finally, he along with Branch Manager and some old timer staff
           approached him for reprieve and he very reluctantly agreed in view of
           long relationship with the branch. Otherwise the officer would have to
           bear the loss himself or would have faced action from the bank for
           negligence in the duty. This is my most remembered anecdote during an
           Induction Programme besides other knowledge gained.

           Insights from the episode

           1.  Induction Training Programme is "sine qua none" for effective
               performance on the job.

           2.  We need to take every Training Programme seriously to have
               significant take-away. Trainings enable us to acquire requisite
               knowledge and skills to make informed decisions.

           3.  We need to be very careful in any transaction as there are monetary
               implications for the bank as well as the employee himself.
