RELATIONSHIP ANALYSIS OF ACTIVITIES
Look for the relationship between material transfer activities and one
work facility to another long work facility with quantitative aspects as
a benchmark (material handling costs). For this reason, a map called
Activity Relationship Chart can be used
RELATED DIAGRAM
If the degree of activity relationship is an important factor (in this case
the qualitative aspect is more important to pay attention to) then at
this stage an Activity Relationship Diagram (ARD) needs to be made.
However, if material flow is more dominant, then a Flow Diagram
needs to be made. And if the combination and both (material flow &
proximity), then a REL diagram can be made.
AREA & AREA'S AVAILABLE
Evaluate area requirements to manage all required plant facilities.
The methods that can be used are:
Production Center Method
Conversion Method
