P. 12
Educators have discovered that media and information literacy is essential
and found some effective and engaging ways to apply critical thinking
skills to a wide range of topics, including fighting disinformation as
media and information literacy is to become an essential skill all over the
world.
There are a number of approaches trainers can foster to training media and
information literacy skills. They are, of course, free to vary the suggested
curriculum and develop their own individual teaching methods. Trainers
should remain aware of their objectives and how these objectives can be
reached.
Trainers are encouraged to follow five steps when helping students
develop their media and information literacy skills: access, analyze, create,
reflect, and take action.
