MEDIA ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION COMPETENCES IN
EDUCATION
The competence for analyzing and evaluating media can be
defined as the capacity to comprehend messages and use
critical thinking to analyze message quality and credibility.
NB! People with different background may interpret the same
media content differently.
Being aware that audiences may interpret the same message
differently, helps to increase one’s critical attitude towards
the media, and hence, media literacy.
