A group of girls in folk costume "walks around the

Market Square". Then they perform Krakowiak

dance, in which basic steps and dance figures are

used, among others: fine grits, hooks.

The dance is performed in a circle, in a semicircle

and in pairs. Cracovians, hearing a cluster

performed in the dynamics of forte in the lower

register of the piano, run away frightened by the

menacing "dragon's roar".
