COLLEEN D. DUFFY
The Honorable Colleen D. Duffy has served as an Associate Justice in the Appellate
Division, Second Department, NYS Supreme Court since January 2014. She began
her judicial career as a Mount Vernon City Court Judge, served as a Family Court
Judge in Westchester and was elected to the Supreme Court in 2010. Justice Duffy
previously worked as an associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and as in-house
counsel at Unilever. Justice Duffy also served as a Mount Vernon City
Councilwoman.She is the author of several articles and publications and is an active
member of several legal groups and bar associations, including serving as president
and one of the founding members of the Society of Irish American Lawyers. She earned
her J.D. degree from NYU School of Law, holds an M.S. degree from Boston University
and a B. A. degree, magna cum laude, from the College of New Rochelle.
