Rodney L. Cotton

Rodney is currently serving as the Tennessee State Chairman for Air while also serving as Executive Vice President of Pyramid on the River Chapter 115 of ACT. Rodney joined the Tennessee Air National Guard in September 1999 as a Traditional Guardsman. In December 2001 Rodney was hired as a full time dual- status technician as a Survival Equipment Specialist working on C-141 and C-5 aircraft. Rodney after career field merger is now employed as an Aircraft Flight Equipment Specialist for C-17 aircraft.
He has been a member of ACT since 2003, this is also when he was selected by the Local President at the time to become a Local Steward. In 2005 Rodney was elected to become the Local President for Pyramid on the River #115 where he served in that position for 5 years. In Rodney’s 5 year tenure he was instrumental in increasing the membership of his Chapter by 300%. In 2010 to current, Rodney was elected to become the State Chairman for the Volunteer State Council Air. This representation includes negotiating contracts, arbitration hearings, adverse action hearings, representational hearings and conducting officer/steward training.
Rodney earned an Associate degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource from Southwest Tennessee Community College in 2017. He also received an Associate degree in Aircrew Safety System Technology from the Community College of the Air Force.
With his experience, dignity, and dedication Rodney looks forward to being a valuable asset to ACT and becoming your next Executive Vice-President. Rodney is determined to help the organization grow, protect employee rights, and represent its membership the best way possible.
